How do I create my first episode?

Congratulations πŸŽ‰ You have created your show and are now about to publish your very first episode!

β€‹πŸ’‘ Once your audio file is finalized via your editing software (see our article on Ausha Academy: Choose the right podcast software for quality broadcasting πŸ‘ˆ ), you can publish the episode on your Ausha account.

From the Episodes tab of your Ausha interface, click on + Add episode to start creating it.

What are the steps to follow to publish my first episode?

β€‹πŸŽ§ Upload an audio file. We recommend uploading an audio file in .MP3 format.

To learn more about the right format for your episodes, check out the article What are the required audio file size and weight to publish an episode on Ausha? πŸ‘ˆ

πŸ™Œ Choose a title. Create a short, impactful title that will make your listeners want to listen to the episode (with relevant keywords for your audience, the name of your guest, etc.).

For tips on choosing the best title, see our article How to optimize your podcast Episode Titles?

✍️ Add a description. The description of each of your episodes is a powerful tool to increase the discoverability and visibility of your show! Don't hesitate to write a description containing terms that your listeners might search for on listening platforms. To learn more about best practices for writing descriptions, check out our article Optimizing your podcast episode descriptions πŸ‘ˆ

πŸ“· Insert the visual.

You can select a different visual for each episode (πŸ’‘ also called the cover or the thumbnail). If not, rest assured, the general visual you provided when creating the show will be automatically added as the episode's visual.

πŸ“š To learn more about the ideal format for your cover and how to change it for your show, check out our article How do I update my podcast's image πŸ‘ˆ

🀫 Set the episode's privacy. Make sure to choose the Public privacy setting to allow the episode to be published on your Ausha website and on all listening platforms.

πŸ—“οΈ Publish or schedule the publication of your episode. Your episode is ready! You can now publish it directly or schedule it to be published on the day and at the time of your choice. To learn more about scheduling an episode, see our article How do I schedule an episode? πŸ‘ˆ

Your podcast adventure is officially launched! πŸ‘

The next step will be to distribute your very first episode on all listening platforms (see our article How do I distribute my podcast on listening platforms? πŸ‘ˆ). Let's go! πŸš€
