Fundamentals of PSO

πŸŽ™ PSO (Podcast Search Optimization):

This is a discipline created by Ausha, aimed at improving the visibility of your podcast in search results on listening platforms like Apple Podcasts or Spotify. It's the podcast equivalent of SEO! πŸ˜‰

πŸ“– For more details, see the article "What is Podcast Search Optimization?"

πŸ“„ Metadata:

Data related to a podcast's audio, including title, description, tags, etc. Listening platforms use this information to index and make a podcast discoverable.Β£

πŸ›°οΈ PSO Control Panel:

This is the dashboard through which you can establish and develop your podcast's PSO strategy directly within Ausha. The PSO Control Panel is found within the SEO tab of your interface. 🧭

Measuring the Performance of My Keywords

πŸ” Keywords:

One or more terms that listeners type into the search bar on listening platforms to find a podcast.

πŸ“Š Keyword Position:

The rank at which your podcast appears in the search results on a listening platform when a listener searches for a specific keyword.

πŸ–±οΈ Click Through Rate (CTR):

It is calculated by Ausha based on your podcast's position for each keyword. The CTR contributes to the calculation of your Visibility Score. This click rate is weighted according to your podcast's position: the higher your podcast appears in the search results, the more points the CTR will earn for the overall visibility score! ↗️

πŸ“– For more details, see the article "What is the Visibility Score and How Is It Calculated by Ausha?"

πŸ”’ Search Volume:

The number of times a keyword is searched on search engines within a given period, usually measured monthly.

Analyzing and Optimizing the Visibility of My Podcast:

🌟 Visibility Score:

Measures the current visibility (same day) of your podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. This score takes into account both your podcast's position on Apple Podcasts and Spotify for each of your keywords, and a CTR (Click-Through Rate) specifically calculated by Ausha for each position. In other words, this score evaluates how visible and clickable your podcast is when a listener searches for specific keywords. The Visibility Score varies between 0 and 100. πŸ“

πŸ₯‡ The Average Position of a Podcast:

Indicates where your podcast stands in the search results on Apple Podcasts and Spotify based on your keywords. The average position of your podcast ranges from 1 to 100. πŸ“ˆ

πŸ“– For more details, see the article "What Is Average Position and How Is It Determined for My Podcast?"

🌍 Analysis of Results by Store:

On platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify, a "Store" corresponds to the catalog of podcasts in a country or region. Your podcast is accessible everywhere, but its visibility varies by region due to language, listening habits, and more. Thanks to Ausha's PSO Control Panel, you can determine your podcast's position by Store (i.e., by country). πŸ“– For more details, see the article "What Features Does the PSO Control Panel Offer Based on My Ausha Plan?"
