💡 Podcast Search Optimization (PSO) is a discipline created by Ausha to improve the visibility of your podcast in search results on listening platforms.
The goal? Identify all the keywords your podcast is ranking for and analyze your position to optimize your strategy and increase your visibility. 🎧

What is the Ranking tab in the PSO Control Panel (Visibility tab) of my Ausha interface?
🎯 The Ranking tab allows you to identify all the keywords your podcast is currently ranking for in search results on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
In other words, you’ll find the complete list of keywords for which your podcast appears in search results.
You can:
Get an overview of all the terms searched by listeners that led them to your podcast.
Identify new keywords to optimize your podcast for and improve its visibility.
Refine your PSO strategy by prioritizing keywords that are both popular and those where you can easily improve your rankings in search results.
💡 How to use the Ranking tab to refine my keyword strategy?
With Ausha’s PSO Control Panel (Visibility tab), you can track the keywords your podcast is ranking for and monitor their performance over time.
Using the indicators provided in the Ranking tab, you can assess in real-time, for each keyword:
🎯 Difficulty: Is this keyword highly competitive, or is it easier to reach the top positions? (difficulty score)
💚 Popularity: Is this keyword frequently searched by listeners? (search volume)
🏆 Position: Is your podcast appearing in the top search results for this keyword? (current ranking)
✨ What is the ideal keyword for your PSO strategy?
We recommend tracking and optimizing your podcast’s visibility for keywords that are:
🟢 easy (difficulty score in green)
💚 popular (search volume in green)
✅ well-ranked (your podcast appears in the top 10 results)
💪 If there’s a keyword where all indicators are green and your podcast ranks in the top results, make sure to track it if you’re not already. Continue integrating this keyword, which is likely key to your target audience, into the metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) of your upcoming episodes to maintain your visibility.
How to use the Ranking tab in my PSO Control Panel?
🧭 To access this feature, go to the Visibility > Ranking tab in your Ausha interface.
From this tab, you can analyze your podcast’s keywords by following these steps:
1️⃣ Filter by platform
Choose whether to display results for Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
🤓 You cannot perform a simultaneous search on Apple and Spotify. These platforms have distinct audiences, algorithms, and rankings, making comparisons impossible.
2️⃣ Select the country for which you want to perform the search.
3️⃣ Analyze the data for each keyword
In the table, you’ll find:
The Keyword column: the complete list of terms for which your podcast currently appears in search results.
Position: the exact position of your podcast in the results for each keyword.
Search volume: a score ranging from 5 to 100, measuring the popularity of a keyword. The higher the score, the more frequently the term is searched by listeners.
Difficulty score: a rating from 0 to 100 indicating how difficult it will be to climb the rankings for this keyword. The higher the score, the stronger the competition.
For each keyword, click on the magnifying glass icon 🔎 in the Live Search column to see the full ranking of podcasts for this keyword directly from the Visibility > Live Search tab.
💡 If you identify new keywords your podcast is ranking for but are not yet tracking, add them to your PSO Control Panel by clicking the + icon in the Follow column.
