What is Average Position?

๐Ÿ“š Average position indicates where your podcast ranks in Apple Podcasts and Spotify search results, based on your keywords. The average position of your podcast ranges from 1 to 100. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

๐Ÿ To determine the average position of your podcast on Apple Podcasts, we calculate the average position of your podcast in the search results for each keyword you're tracking. The same goes for Spotify. ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿงญ You can find your podcast's average position and its history over the last 12 weeks within the PSO Control Panel of your Ausha dashboard, in the SEO > Overview tab.

How to Interpret this Position to Measure Podcast Visibility?

๐ŸŸ  When the average position is closer to 100: your podcast is less visible because it appears lower in the search results on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

๐ŸŸข When the score is closer to 1: your podcast is more visible because it appears at the top of the search results on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

As with any data related to your podcast, the most important thing is to analyze the evolution of this average position over time as you make adjustments to include your keywords in your podcast's metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, etc). ๐Ÿ“ˆ
