How does automatic distribution on Castbox work?
Some platforms offer automatic distribution, meaning no action is required from you. This is the case for platforms such as Pocket Casts, Overcast, Castro, and the platform we’re focusing on here: Castbox!
Here are the required conditions for Castbox (and other automatic platforms) to distribute your podcast:
👉 Your podcast must contain at least one publicly published episode.
If your show only contains scheduled or draft episodes, distribution will not work on any platform.
Having at least one Public episode is essential for Castbox to automatically detect your podcast.
📚 Check out our article: How do I publish an episode?
👉 Your podcast must already be distributed on Apple Podcasts.
Castbox is an automatic platform that relies on the Apple Podcasts catalog.
For your show to appear on Castbox, it must first be available on Apple Podcasts.

Distribution on Castbox is fully automated.
However, like all automatic platforms, it is not instant ⏳
You will need to wait a few days to a few weeks after your first episode is available on Apple Podcasts for your show to be indexed on Castbox.
As long as your podcast is not yet distributed on Apple Podcasts, the Castbox section will display the following message:
“Distribute your show on Apple Podcasts an reach your audience on this platform.”
Once your show is distributed on Apple Podcasts, and while waiting for Castbox to index your podcast and for the listening link to appear in your Ausha distribution settings, the message “Pending distribution…” will be displayed.
Finally, once your podcast is available on Castbox, the link to your show page will automatically appear in your Ausha distribution settings:
💡 Even after your podcast is available on Castbox, the Castbox link may not appear immediately in your Ausha settings, and the status “Pending distribution” may still be displayed.
In this case, please wait a few more days for the automatic retrieval of your Castbox link.
What should I do if my podcast is not automatically detected by Castbox?
If you have successfully met all the conditions for automatic distribution and waited the required time (at least one month) but still don’t see any listening link in your Ausha settings:
You can manually submit your podcast to Castbox.
To do so, follow this tutorial from the Castbox Help Center (in English 🇺🇸):
https://helpcenter.castbox.fm/portal/en/kb/articles/submit-my-podcast 👈If you encounter any issues during manual submission, you can contact Castbox Support directly:

💡 After manual submission, you may still need to wait a few more days for the Castbox link to appear in your Ausha distribution settings.
It is normal for the status “Pending distribution” to still be displayed temporarily.
Don’t worry — the link will appear automatically within a few days.
