โ๏ธ Choose the right listening directories for my podcast
Publishing your podcast on all available listening directories will significantly increase its discoverability. According to the latest international podcast industry studies, Spotify represents 30% of podcast listens, and Apple Podcasts 38% ๐
โ๏ธ Prepare my podcast for distribution
Before setting up the distribution of your show, make sure your podcast contains at least one public and published episode. Directories only detect public episodes: scheduled or draft episodes will not allow you to start distribution. ๐
โ๏ธ Launch the distribution on Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, and Podcast Addict
From your Settings > Distribution tab, the "Distribute" button will allow you to start publishing your podcast on these directories with a single click. The connection to these directories is made via your podcast's RSS feed, so you will not need to create an account on these platforms to activate the publication ๐
โ๏ธ Configure the distribution on Apple Podcasts and Stitcher
On Apple Podcasts and Stitcher, a set of actions must be taken directly from their own platform. Ausha has created an article to guide you through these processes ๐:
โ๏ธ Enable automatic distribution on Castbox, Pocket Casts, Castro, and Overcast
These directories will automatically distribute your podcast after its first upload on Apple Podcasts. Therefore, make sure your podcast is distributed on Apple Podcasts to benefit from automatic distribution on these directories ๐
๐ก Note that there may be a refresh delay before seeing your podcast appear following its distribution on Apple Podcasts.
โ๏ธ Link my YouTube account to Ausha to distribute my episodes there
To get the most out of YouTube, you will need to create an account dedicated to your show, then link this account to Ausha. You can then click on the "Publish on YouTube" button in the episode creation form for each episode you want to appear on your YouTube channel ๐น
โ๏ธ Link my SoundCloud account to Ausha to distribute my episodes there
To distribute your podcast on SoundCloud, you will need to link your SoundCloud account from the Ausha publication settings. You can then click on the "Publish on SoundCloud" button in the episode creation form each time you want to see your episode published on this directory (๐ก within the limits of SoundCloud's free offer) ๐ง
