Checklist: 5 steps to distribute my podcast on listening platforms

Discover our recommendations for successfully distributing your podcast across all listening platforms 🎧

☑️ Choose the right listening platforms for your podcast
Distributing your podcast on all available listening platforms will significantly increase its discoverability. According to the latest international podcast industry studies, Spotify accounts for approximately 30% of podcast listening, while Apple Podcasts represents around 38%.

☑️ Prepare your podcast for distribution
Before setting up distribution, make sure your podcast contains at least one public and published episode. Listening platforms only detect public episodes: scheduled or draft episodes cannot be used to launch distribution.

☑️ Launch distribution on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, and Podcast Addict
From the Settings > Distribution section of your show, the Distribute button allows you to launch distribution to these platforms in a single click.

Because these platforms connect through your podcast’s RSS feed, you do not need to create an account on any of them to enable distribution.

☑️ Enable distribution on automatic listening platforms: Castbox, Pocket Casts, Castro, and Overcast
These platforms will automatically distribute your podcast after it has first been published on Apple Podcasts. Therefore, you must ensure that your first episode is publicly published and that you have launched distribution on Apple Podcasts in order to benefit from automatic distribution on these platforms.

💡 Note: there may be a short indexing delay before your podcast appears on automatic listening platforms after it has been published on Apple Podcasts.

☑️ Connect your YouTube account to Ausha to share episodes on your channel
To get the most out of YouTube distribution, you should create a channel dedicated to your show and connect it to Ausha. You can then click the Publish on YouTube option within the creation form of each episode you would like to publish on your YouTube channel.
