Learn how to edit episode details and content after publishing: title, audio track, description, image, chapters, etc.

How to Modify a Published Episode (and Update Time on Platforms):

To edit a published episode:

  1. Go to the Episodes tab.

  2. Click the pencil icon 🖍 next to the episode you want to edit.

Which Fields Can Be Edited After Publishing?

  1. Content:

    • After distribution, the title, description, tags, permalink, or image can still be edited!

    • Once you've completed your edits, click Done.

  2. Audio File:

    • Click the three dots next to your audio file and then click Edit to upload a new one (.mp3 recommended, .mp4 or .wav also accepted, max 500MB).

    • Once you've completed your edits, click Done.

  3. Category and Options:

    • Edit Season, episode type, or explicit content option

    • Publish to YouTube and/or SoundCloud

    • Once you've completed your edits, click Done.

  4. Privacy:

    • Set episode to Public, Private, or Unlisted (Boost-level and higher)

    • Toggle listener download option

    • Once you've completed your edits, click Done.

  5. Chapter Breakdown:

    • Create, delete, or modify chapters (see this article for more information)

    • Once you've completed your edits, click Done.


After making your changes, confirm by clicking Save and Close. This triggers an RSS feed update, which will be picked up by listening platforms.
