🎯 What are tracked competitors for, and how should you choose them?
In your PSO, a competitor is any podcast ranking on the same keywords as you on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
By tracking competitors, you can compare your rankings directly in the Keyword Tracker tab. For each tracked competitor, two columns are added to the table:
Their ranking on the keyword at the selected date
Their change between the two selected dates
💡 Your competitor selection is independent for each platform: you can track different podcasts on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, based on the competition specific to each platform.
👉 To choose your competitors wisely, we recommend mixing profiles:
1 or 2 leading podcasts on your strategic keywords, to measure the gap with the best
1 or 2 podcasts at a similar level to yours, to track your progress in real time
💡 Once your PSO is set up, the Competitors tab shows you the 10 best-ranked podcasts for each of your tracked keywords: a great source of inspiration to refine your selection over time.
How do I add competitors during my first PSO setup?
During the initial PSO setup, a dedicated step invites you to select your competitors, separately for Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
👉 To add competitors, you can:
search manually using the Enter a podcast name... field
choose from the automatic suggestions provided by Ausha
Once you've made your selection, click Add # competitor(s)!
You can update your list of competitors at any time. 📆
How do I add, edit, or remove competitors from the Keyword Tracker tab?
From the PSO tab of your Ausha interface, go to Keyword Tracker.
🧭 To manage your competitors:
Click the ⚙️ icon to the right of the Competitors section, at the top of the table
Select the platform you want to manage: Apple Podcasts or Spotify
Add or remove competitors
Reorder them via drag and drop
