Learn how to analyze the results of each post you share on social media from Ausha to refine your marketing strategy! 🚀

Which statistics about my podcast’s marketing on social networks can I find on the Ausha interface ?

In the Communication tab on the Ausha interface, you can link your social networks (see article) and share your episodes in just a few clicks with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn (see article👈).

Under the Communication tab > Social Media, you can find statistical data to analyze the effectiveness of each of your posts.

Here are the key data points you will find on your posts published from Ausha :

  1. The number of Impressions: how many times your post was displayed.
💡 In other words, Impressions = the total number of times your post was displayed on a computer or phone.

  2. Reach : how many times your post was viewed.
💡 In other words, the Reach = the total number of unique internet users that saw your post at least once.
❌ Twitter and LinkedIn do not provide any data regarding your posts’ Reach. See these sections below: How do I interpret the statistics for my posts on Twitter? and How do I interpret the statistics for my posts on LinkedIn ?.

  3. Engagement : how many interactions your post generated.
💡 In other words, Engagement = the total number of likes, reactions, and comments left on your post.

  4. Engagement Rate: ratio of the number of interactions to the total views for your post.
💡In other words, the Engagement Rate = the number of likes, reactions, retweets, comments, etc. divided by the number of Impressions.
➡️ This figure indicates the percentage of internet users that interacted with your post among all the internet users who saw it on their feeds !

In which cases will no statistics be available for my social media posts ?

🤓 Here are three general cases where you won’t find any statistics for a post shared on Social Media from Ausha :

  • You deleted the post on social media after it was published. (The post doesn’t exist online anymore and thus by definition cannot generate new data points on that social network, so no further data will be displayed on Ausha).

  • You unlinked Ausha from the social network where you shared the post. (The connection with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Twitter was undone and Ausha cannot retrieve any past or future information on your post’s performance).

  • You made this post on Ausha before June 26th, 2021. (We did not measure statistics before this date – no data was captured before then and thus no historical data is available).

You should know that under the Communications tab > Social Media, you will only find statistics for posts published from Ausha.

If you publish directly on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn (not from Ausha), no data about the publication will be displayed on your Ausha interface.

⚠️ Important: Certain social networks do not transfer all the statistics data to Ausha. Please carefully review the following parts of this article to learn more. 👇

How do I interpret the statistics for my posts on Facebook ?

You can link your Facebook page to Ausha to manage your podcast’s marketing and communication on this social network directly from Ausha (see this article: How do I connect my social media networks to Ausha ? 👈 ).

Here’s how the statistics for each of your Facebook posts are calculated :

  1. Impressions correspond to the number of times your page’s post was displayed on a Facebook news feed.

  2. Reach corresponds to the number of Facebook users that saw your post at least once.

  3. Engagement corresponds to the number of times a Facebook user reacted to your publication with a “Like”, “Love”, “Wow”, “Sad”, “Sorry”, “Haha” or “Anger” reaction.
❌ For now, with Facebook’s data, the Engagement statistics only take reactions into account and do not count comments. The number of comments is not part of your Engagement score for a post because Facebook does not provide this data to Ausha.

  4. The Engagement Rate corresponds to the Engagement (= the number of reactions on your post) divided by the number of Impressions (= the number of times your post was displayed on Facebook newsfeeds).

👉 Ausha’s calculated Engagement Rate for Facebook indicates the percentage of users that left a reaction on your post among all the users for whom your post was displayed.

How do I interpret the statistics for my posts on Twitter ?

You can link your Twitter account to manage your podcast’s marketing and communication, for this social network, directly from Ausha (see this article: How do I connect my social media networks to Ausha 👈 ).

Here’s how statistics are calculated for each of your Twitter posts :

  1. Impressions correspond to the number of times your post was displayed on a Twitter feed.

  2. Reach will never be displayed for your posts on Twitter. ❌ This data is not available on Ausha for this social network.

  3. Engagement corresponds to the number of times a Twitter user reacted to your Tweet with a Like, Retweet, Reply, Quote or simply a Click.

  4. The Engagement Rate corresponds to the Engagement (= total number of Clicks, Likes, Retweets, Replies, and Quotes on your Tweet) divided by the Impressions (= the number of times your Tweet appeared on a Twitter feed) because this social network doesn’t provide complete statistics to Ausha.

👉 The Engagement Rate calculated by Ausha for Twitter indicates the percentage of times that viewers that reacted to your Tweet among all the times your Tweet appeared in a Twitter feed.

How do I interpret the statistics for my posts on Instagram ?

You can link your Instagram account (Business accounts only) to manage your podcast’s marketing and communication for this social network, directly from Ausha (see this article How do I connect my social media networks to Ausha 👈 ) .

Here’s how statistics are calculated for each of your Instagram Business account’s posts :

  1. Impressions correspond to the number of times your post was displayed on an Instagram feed.
💡 Important: Instagram does not report a post’s Impressions below a certain threshold of Impressions, and currently we don’t know what that threshold is.
If you’re not seeing any Impressions for a given Instagram post, please wait for your post to accumulate more Impressions for statistics reporting to start.

Impressions data from Instagram may take up to 10 days to appear on Ausha (delay imposed by Instagram).

  2. Reach corresponds to the number of Instagram users that saw your post at least once.
Reach data from Instagram may take up to 10 days to appear on Ausha (delay imposed by Instagram).

  3. Engagement is directly calculated by Instagram based on their own definition of Engagement. Instagram’s Engagement takes into consideration: Likes, Comments and Shares.
Engagement data from Instagram may take up to 10 days to appear on Ausha (delay imposed by Instagram).

  4. The Engagement Rate corresponds to the Engagement (= the Engagement calculated by Instagram) divided by the Reach (= the number of Instagram users who saw your post at least once).
👉 The Engagement Rate calculated by Ausha for Instagram indicates the percentage of users that interacted with your post (according to Instagram) among all the users that saw your post at least once.

How do I interpret my statistics for my shares on LinkedIn ?

You can link your LinkedIn account to manage your podcast’s marketing and communication, for this social network, directly from Ausha (see this article: How do I connect my social media networks to Ausha 👈).

⚠️ On Ausha, you can link either a LinkedIn Personal Profile or a LinkedIn Company Page.

However, you will not have any statistics for your LinkedIn Personal Profile posts published from Ausha. ❌

📈 Only posts published on your Company Page will accumulate statistics. For LinkedIn, we thus recommend you link your Company Page to Ausha instead of your Personal Profile.

Here’s how statistics are calculated for each of your posts on your Company Page on LinkedIn :

  1. Impressions correspond to the number of times your post was displayed on a LinkedIn news feed.

  2. Reach will never be displayed for your posts on LinkedIn, even for posts published on a Company Page. ❌ This data point is not available on Ausha for this social network.

  3. Engagement corresponds to the number of times LinkedIn users reacted to your post with a Like, Share, Comment, or Click.

  4. The Engagement Rate corresponds to the Engagement (= total number of Likes, Shares, Comments, and Clicks generated by your post) divided by the Impressions (= the number of times your post was displayed on a LinkedIn feed) because this social network does not provide complete engagement statistics.
👉 The Engagement Rate calculated by Ausha for LinkedIn indicates the percentage of times that viewers that reacted to your post among all the times your post appeared on a LinkedIn news feed.
