What does the PSO Benchmark section do?

Inside the PSO tab of your Ausha dashboard, the Benchmark section lets you compare your show with the Top 200 best-performing podcasts in your category 📊🎧

It compares your show’s data with the highest-ranked shows in your category across 8 key visibility indicators.

For each one, you can see:
• your show’s data
• the category average, based on the top shows in your country 🔍

This gives you a clear snapshot of where your show aligns with category best practices… and where it differs 🎯

🔒 The full Benchmark section is available in PSO Grow and PSO Pro plans (see the PSO Pricing page).

With the 7-day PSO free trial and the PSO Starter plan, you only get access to:
• the title length comparison
• the Apple Podcasts rating comparison

What insights can you get from the Benchmark section?

Below are the 8 key indicators the Benchmark section uses to compare your show with the Top 200 in your category.

🎙️ 1. How long is your show title compared to others?

The Benchmark section compares the number of characters in your show title with the average title length of the Top 200 in your category.

💡 A longer title can help you include more relevant keywords.

🛍️ The title length comparison is available in the PSO free trial, PSO Starter, PSO Grow, and PSO Pro (see the PSO Pricing page).

📝 2. How detailed is your show description?

The Benchmark section compares the character count of your show description with the average description length of the Top 200 shows in your category.

💡 A structured description with strong keywords helps boost your podcast’s visibility.

🛍️ The description length comparison is available only in PSO Grow and PSO Pro (see the PSO Pricing page).

🎨 3. How does your show artwork compare?

The Benchmark section shows you:
• your show artwork and its color palette
• the artwork used by the Top 50 shows in your category

You can also copy the exact color codes if you want to align your visual identity with category trends.

💡 You can follow the visual codes of your category — or choose bold, contrasting colors to stand out.

🛍️ The artwork comparison is available only in PSO Grow and PSO Pro (see the PSO Pricing page).

📅 4. How often do you publish compared to your category?

The Benchmark section compares your publishing rhythm with the average publishing frequency of the Top 200 shows in your category.

💡 A consistent publishing cadence helps build audience loyalty and is valued by platform algorithms.

🛍️ The publishing frequency comparison is available only in PSO Grow and PSO Pro (see the PSO Pricing page).

⏱️ 5. How long are your episodes on average?

The Benchmark section compares the average length of your latest episodes with the average episode length of the Top 200 shows in your category.

You can also see a distribution graph showing how episode lengths vary across your category.

💡 There’s no “ideal” episode length — this simply helps you understand what’s common in your category and whether you want to follow it or stand apart.

🛍️ The episode length comparison is available only in PSO Grow and PSO Pro (see the PSO Pricing page).

📆 6. Which day do you publish, and how does it stack up?

The Benchmark section compares your usual publishing day with the most common publishing days used by the Top 200 shows in your category.

💡 Publishing on a less crowded day can be an opportunity to stand out.

🛍️ The publishing day comparison is available only in PSO Grow and PSO Pro (see the PSO Pricing page).

🍏 7. What’s your Apple Podcasts / Spotify rating compared to others?

This indicator shows how your Apple Podcasts or Spotify rating compares to the Top 200 shows in your category.

💡 It helps you see whether you may need to encourage listeners to leave more ratings.

🛍️ The Apple Podcasts / Spotify rating comparison is available in the PSO free trial, PSO Starter, PSO Grow, and PSO Pro (see the PSO Pricing page).

💬 8. How many Apple Podcasts & Spotify reviews do you have?

The Benchmark section compares the number of reviews your show received on apps with the average number of reviews for the Top 200 shows in your category.

💡 The more written reviews you receive, the more credibility and trust your show builds with new listeners.

🛍️ The review count comparison is available in the PSO free trial, PSO Starter, PSO Grow, and PSO Pro (see the PSO Pricing page).
