How are the Deeplink and the Ausha's Smartlink features related?

Thanks to Ausha, from the Communication tab of your interface, you will find various communication tools to promote your podcast including the Smartlink. πŸ“±

With the Smartlink, a unique link that centralizes all the directories on which your show is available, your listeners will be able to find your podcast, or a specific episode, in a single click on their favorite podcast directory. πŸ’₯

A general Smartlink will be generated for your podcast and a dedicated Smartlnk will be automatically generated for each new published episode.

πŸ“– See the article "What is the Smartlink and what is this feature for?" if you want to know more about the benefits of Smartlink in the first place.

This will then allow you to better understand the purpose of the Deeplink for the Smartlink of each of your episodes!

The Deeplink is a feature attached to Ausha's Smartlink, and more specifically to the Smartlinks that will be generated for each of your newly published episodes.

The Deeplink will redirect your listeners, in one click, on their favorite podcast directory, directly to the page of a specific episode from the Smartlink of an episode. πŸ“±

The Deeplink allows you to send your listeners, with one click, on their favorite podcast directory, directly to the page of a specific episode from the Smartlink of an episode. πŸ“±

πŸ‘‰ Thanks to the Deeplink, the exact listening link of your episode will be embedded behind the buttons to the listening platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc) that will be displayed on the Smartlink of each episode. This is to make it easier for your audience to find your content!

What is the Deeplink for?

πŸ”‘ The Deeplink is a powerful tool to maximize the conversion performance of the Smartlink of each episode by reducing the number of clicks needed by your listeners to find your content on their favorite platforms!

The Deeplink will be also very useful if you want to communicate / promote an old episode, published long time ago.

πŸ‘‰ Podcast directories often display the most recent episodes by default. Thanks to the Deeplink, you will be able to redirect your listener in one click to an older episode without them having to browse your entire podcast page on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc! 🧭

Whether you're promoting your newest episode or re-sharing old content to your audience/new podcast subscribers, the Deeplink will allow you to minimize the steps your listeners need to take to find your content on podcast directories... and therefore maximize potential listens! 🀩

How will the Deeplink work for the Smartlink of each episode?

For each new episode, the Deeplink will retrieve the exact link of the episode and add it to the Smartlink, either automatically or manually.

Automatically adding an episode's Deeplink

πŸ‘‰ Here are the platforms for which Ausha will automatically retrieve the Deeplink:

This means that for these platforms, the exact listening link of the published episode will be automatically embedded in the Smartlink of your episode. πŸ“±

πŸ“† Note: the automatic collection of the listening link is only done on these platforms for episodes uploaded after January 16, 2023, when Deeplink is implemented on Ausha.

For all episodes published before this date, you will have to add each link manually including for Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Youtube (see next paragraph "The manual addition of the Deeplink of an episode").

Manually adding an episode's Deeplink

πŸ‘‰ For other listening platforms, Ausha will not automatically retrieve the listening link of each episode automatically.

However, you will be able to manually add the exact listening link of each published episode for all platforms to be added to the Smartlink of your episode.

🧭 To manually add the Deeplink of a published episode, here are the steps to take:

  • Go to the Episodes tab in your Ausha interface.

  • Click on the Pencil to the right of the episode you want to add a Deeplink to

  • Go to the bottom of the page in the Deeplink section

  • Then click on + Add a new link

  • A window will open allowing you to fill in the link.

    - Select a listening platform for which you want to add the link.
    - Then paste the link of the episode you have copied / retrieved from the given listening platform.
    - Click on Add to confirm the addition of this link

πŸ’‘ A small green toggle will confirm that the episode link is correct (and our 05H4 robot will suggest the expected form of the episode link depending on the platform βœ… πŸ€– ).

You can then add more links for your episode within the Deeplink section.

Click Save and Close at the top right of the episode management page when you've manually filled in all the listening links you want!

πŸ’‘ You can return in the Deeplink section from the episode management form at any time and click Edit if you want to change a link.

πŸ“ Note: The Deeplink section will only be visible from the episode management form once your episode is Published.

If your episode is Scheduled or In Draft, you will not see the Deeplink section on this page because, by definition, you will not yet be able to know the future listening link of the episode's on the platforms (since the episode isn’t online yet). ❌
