Transferring from one hosting service to another is quick and easy! You just need to follow two steps:

  1. Import your podcast to collect its data (episodes, titles, descriptions, audio files,… in short, everything from your old RSS feed).

  2. Redirect your RSS feed to ensure the future of your podcast by indicating to the listening platforms where you broadcast that your new episodes can be found on your Ausha RSS feed.

Step 1: Import your podcast (on Ausha)

1.1 If you have not already created the show on Ausha:

  • After creating your Ausha account you can configure your first show. Select Import RSS to import an existing show (and its episodes) from your previous hosting service to Ausha.

  • Enter your podcast’s current RSS feed (provided by your previous hosting service: Anchor, SoundCloud, Acast, Podcastics, etc.) in the RSS feed name or link of the show to import field.

  • Click Continue to confirm your podcast’s import! All the (publicly published) episodes will be immediately imported on Ausha and will be integrated into the Ausha RSS feed for your show. 🎉

Now you just need to set up Step 2: Redirect (see Step 2)!

1.2 If you already created the show on Ausha:

  • Head to the Settings tab.

  • Select Import RSS.

  • Enter your podcast’s current RSS feed (provided by your previous hosting service: Anchor, SoundCloud, Acast, etc.) in the RSS link for the show to import field.

  • Check the number of existing episodes in the RSS feed by clicking on “Check the RSS link”. (This will allow you to check that your previous episodes were all imported correctly).

  • Finally, click Import show. All (publicly published) episodes will be immediately imported on Ausha and will be integrated into the Ausha RSS feed for your show. 🎉

Now you just need to set up Step 2: Redirect (see Step 2)!

Step 2: Redirect your current RSS feed to your Ausha RSS feed (from your previous hosting service)

Redirecting serves to inform listening platforms that your podcast’s RSS feed address has changed.

Without a redirect, platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Deezer, etc.) will keep updating episodes using your old RSS feed (from your previous hosting service). They will not collect new content uploaded on Ausha.

To set up a redirect for your RSS feed:

  • Connect to your account on your previous hosting service.

  • Request an RSS feed redirect of your old feed to your new Ausha RSS feed, often configurable under Settings or by contacting Customer Service.

  • The redirect will be detected by all listening platforms within 15 days. You can then close your account with your previous hosting service.

Note: We cannot recover listening statistics from your previous hosting service’s RSS feed. If you would like to keep track of your listens, we recommend you download/copy/jot down the statistics before transferring your podcast to Ausha.

The transfer process is invisible to your listeners, regardless of their chosen listening platform. 🚀
