What Constitutes a Listen on Ausha?
Since November 2, 2022, Ausha strictly adheres to the IAB 2.1 reference standard. ๐งโ๐ฌ ๐
Before this date, our reference was the ACPM methodology.
With the IAB 2.1 standard, a listen is counted:
After the completion of the first minute of playback: a listen is not counted and will only appear on Ausha from 60 seconds into your listeners' ears. ๐งโณ
For the same listener (IP address) within a 24-hour window: only one listen is counted. ๐ค
๐ก This is called Windowing: if the listener initiates multiple listens of the same episode within this time period, only one listen is ultimately counted.
Which Platforms Will Appear in Your Statistics?
Ausha's statistics encompass all listening platforms that broadcast your podcast using your show's RSS feed: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Deezer, etc. ๐
๐ก Statistics not considered are from Soundcloud (which plays audio files from a Soundcloud-hosted file) and views on YouTube (which streams video files from a YouTube-hosted file).
