Foreword: To activate distribution, your podcast must have at least one publicly published episode. If your podcast only has scheduled or draft episodes, you cannot start distributing, regardless of the platform. To learn more, check out “How does my podcast get distributed?”.
Here are the steps to activate your show’s distribution on Stitcher directly from Ausha (we make this process easy for you!) :
Connect to your Ausha account.
In the main menu, click Settings.
In the left-side menu, click Distribution.
Head to the Other Podcast Directories category, then to the Stitcher box and click Distribute.
After clicking Distribute, a new dialog will appear, and you will be asked: “Is your podcast already on Stitcher?”. If your podcast has never been distributed on Stitcher, select No.
Note: If your podcast has already been distributed on Stitcher, head to this article to verify that you have completed all the required steps to ensure a successful transfer to Ausha.
After answering No to the previous question, you can access the step-by-step tutorial explaining how to setup your podcast’s distribution on Stitcher. Click “Start” to get started on the tutorial and follow each step to the letter! 🤓
In summary, in this tutorial (that we recommend you read from top to bottom), you will be asked to:
👉 1. Head to https://partners.stitcher.com/join and click "Join Us Today".
👉 2. Now connect to your Ausha account and enter your podcast’s proprietary email address under Settings > Export RSS > Proprietary Email.
👉 3. Then, still on Ausha, under Settings > Export RSS, copy your podcast’s RSS feed link.
👉 4. Next, return to the Stitcher site and paste your RSS feed address in the “Add Your Show” field.
👉 5. Finally, wait until Stitcher validates your request and then, once it has been validated, click on the “Next Step” button. Stitcher will send you a confirmation email which you must confirm to complete the process.
Your podcast will be available on Stitcher within 1-2 days!
Don’t forget to manually indicate your Stitcher listen link in the Ausha distribution settings.
To do so: head to Settings > Distribution > Stitcher > Is your podcast already on Stitcher? > Yes > Scroll to the top to reach the Listen link field and click Edit.
Now when you publish a new episode on Ausha, it will be automatically published on Stitcher without you having to do anything else! 🥳
Note: Distribution on Stitcher is not always instantaneous, each episode may show up after a delay of several hours (up to 1 day), due to Stitcher’s technical inner workings and how it updates with new content (the delay may vary from one episode to another).
