The transfer process from WordPress to Ausha is a breeze! 🙌
Step 1: How to Import My Podcast from WordPress to Ausha?
Importing your WordPress RSS feed to your Ausha account aims to retrieve the history of your podcast (episodes, titles, descriptions, audio files, etc.: everything contained in your old RSS feed).
To do this, follow these steps: 👇
Create an Ausha account on the website www.ausha.co or log in to your existing Ausha account.
After creating your Ausha account or logging in to your existing account, when creating your show, choose Import existing show.
Then, enter the current RSS feed of your podcast (provided by WordPress) in the field Show Name or RSS Link of the show to import.
Click Continue to confirm the import of your show!
All episodes (Published publicly on the WordPress side) will be immediately imported to Ausha and integrated into the Ausha RSS feed of your show 🎉
Now, it's time to set up Step 2: Redirection!
Step 2: How to Redirect the WordPress RSS Feed to My New Ausha RSS Feed from My WordPress Interface?
The action of redirecting your RSS feed ensures the future of your podcast by informing all listening platforms that they should now distribute your future episodes from a new RSS feed, the one you have now with Ausha.
To set up the redirection, follow these steps: 👇
Log in to your WordPress interface and follow the steps indicated in this article from the WordPress Help Center to set up the redirection to Ausha: https://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/ 👈
💡 You will be asked for the URL of your new podcast's RSS feed on Ausha. To learn how to retrieve it, visit our article How to Find My Podcast's RSS Feed on Ausha? 💜
Once the transfer is completed successfully (Attention: import + redirection), you can then publish all your future episodes directly from your Ausha account.
👉 WordPress cannot provide us with the listening statistics from your old RSS feed. If you want to keep a record of your previous listens, we recommend downloading/copying/note-taking them before transferring your podcast to Ausha. ✍️
The transfer process is invisible to your audience, regardless of the listening platform. You won't lose your subscribers on different platforms: your listeners won't see any difference between episodes posted from your old host and those posted from Ausha! 🚀
